Macmahon is looking for a proactive People Advisor to join our Surface Mining People Operations team, supporting our Queensland Mine Sites.
Reporting to the People Superintendent, you'll deliver hands-on generalist HR support, partnering with leaders and employees to improve employee experience and business performance.
This role focuses on practical talent management, culture and compliance solutions helping our teams work effectively and grow.

About the roleProvide accurate advice, coaching and high-level support on all HR/ER related mattersManage or support workplace investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processesAnalyse and interpret data and HR metrics to identify workforce trends and understand and respond to workforce needsPartner with the business to complete cyclical people activitiesPrimarily based in the central CBD Brisbane office with regular site travel to a portfolio of mine sitesPermanent full-time opportunity with a competitive salary and growth and development opportunitiesAbout youCertificate, Diploma, or bachelor's degree in human resources, or a related fieldProven experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining industryDemonstrated knowledge and experience implementing employment legislation and HR policies and proceduresAbility to work independently on an assigned portfolio of work but also as a collaborative team memberDeveloped critical thinking and decision-making skillsHold a valid Driver's LicenceProficient in the use of SuccessFactors would be advantageousEmployee benefitsCentral office location - a short 2-minute walk across the road from central stationRegular team building events and celebrationsDedicated lifestyle, financial and mental health supportSalary sacrifice options for flights, vehicles, airport parking and so much moreAccess to a wide range of employee discounts with Macmahon retail, vehicle, insurance and banking partnersOngoing career development opportunities to "Challenge.
