Marine Ecology and Offshore Approvals Professional Energise Renewables is a purpose-driven expert boutique clean energy consulting business that has been established to support the development and delivery of clean energy, and decarbonisation at a time of global climate and energy need.

We are currently working with some of the best businesses, investing in and building clean energy projects across Australia – including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar PV, BESS, Power-to-X, and CCS technologies.
Working from our Perth office (hybrid), you will be a highly trusted employee with a unique opportunity to support the growth and success of our presence in the region.
Minimum Requirements : Proven and successful expertise in marine environmental sciences and environmental impact assessment.Knowledge and experience in marine ecology, including demonstrated understanding of Australian regulatory systems.Demonstrated knowledge of issues related to offshore project development.Ability to problem diagnose and seek innovative solutions in marine and coastal environments.Exceptional interpersonal, report writing, and verbal communication skills.Project management experience in diverse cultural contexts.Post-graduate qualifications in a science-related field; a background in marine or environmental science is preferred.Personal attributes : Calm, reliable, outcomes-focused, and professional.
You should be a self-starter and a strategic thinker.
You must be flexible and adaptable, able to work with the Head of WA and Environment with support from the wider Energise network.
Role outline : Strategic Leadership : Build and deliver specialised environmental approvals and studies services.Develop and implement environmental approvals strategies for key projects.Lead project-specific work streams.Select, procure and manage third-party consultants.Collaborate with clients to scope and implement marine and coastal baseline studies.Develop and oversee monitoring programs.Provide leadership and guidance on environmental matters.Support the head of WA and Environment as required.Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement : Lead regulatory engagement on key marine environmental approvals.Work closely with stakeholder engagement leads to develop impact mitigation programs.Build new services and deliver high-quality services to existing clients.Seek opportunities to build business and partnerships.Lead the curation and implementation of strategic services.Act as the face of Energise Renewables at industry events.Cultivate a positive brand reputation in WA.Support outreach efforts.Project Delivery and Environmental & Regulatory Advice : Lead the successful delivery of approvals and marine/coastal studies programs.Act as a specialist advisor on marine and coastal environmental assessment.Support the Head of WA and Environment on marine and environmental management programs.Manage budgets for projects and programs as required.Support sustainable growth and financial health.Company Values Self-Management Embracing a culture where everyone is trusted to manage their work.Participating in a dynamic hierarchy based on project needs.Holding ourselves accountable for contributing meaningfully to our purpose.Evolutionary Purpose Our overarching purpose evolves with market changes.We value agility to seize opportunities.Wholeness We embrace and appreciate diverse personalities and identities.We create an environment where everyone feels comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work.HOW TO APPLY An overview of your experience addressing your suitability for the position.An updated Resume.Closing date for applications is 16 Jan 2025.
