We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable professional to fill the role of Warehouse Afternoon Shift Supervisor at our branch in Gillman, Adelaide.
About the role : Reporting to the Operations and Night Shift Manager, you will be required to supervise a team of up to 40 people and assist organise, supervise and control all work activity relating to picking, packing, assembly, loading and delivery of products is conducted accurately and product integrity is maintained.
This is a physical position with some heavy lifting.
Duties : Maintain all equipment service and maintenance schedulesCoach, mentor and train staff as requiredControl and reduce warehouse expenses by minimising damages, wastage and overtimeLiaise with the Operations and Night Shift Managers regarding labour requirements and work process changesPromote safe working procedures and ensure policies are implemented and adhered toSkills and Experience : Current Forklift licence (essential), Reach truck and Truck licenceProven experience in warehousing and distribution management and inventory controlExceptional time management and communication skillsComputer literacy, including the ability to quickly learn internal systemsExperience managing rosters and resources within budget constraintsAn understanding of HACCP, WHS and HRAble to provide leadership and motivation to a teamBidfood can offer you : Staff discounted Pricing on 4000+ itemsAccess to online workforce development programsTeam member access to Corporate Health Plans and other staff benefitsEmployee Assistance programs to support Staff and their familiesIf you believe you are the right person to join our business, please apply with your confidential resume.
