In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, dissemination, and application of frameworks that measure the outcomes and impact of WAPHA's initiatives, ensuring insights are accessible and actionable.
Collaborating across teams, you will contribute to evidence-based decision-making, continuous improvement, and enhanced service delivery.
This role is offered on a full-time, 2 years Maximum- Term contract with the flexibility to work both from home and in the office.
Core responsibilities: Strategic Impact Measurement and Evaluation: Design and implement high-quality Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks to assess the impact of WAPHA's initiatives.
Lead quantitative and statistical analyses to generate actionable insights and demonstrate program outcomes.
Align evaluation projects with WAPHA's strategic priorities and funder requirements.
Capacity Building: Develop strategies to enhance staff capability in using evaluation data to inform decision-making.
Support the creation of systems and processes that enable staff to access insights efficiently.
Ensure quality assurance processes are followed to deliver credible and high-impact evaluation findings.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure evaluation insights are relevant and aligned with organisational goals.
Collaborate across teams to integrate impact measurement into service delivery.
Disseminate evaluation findings to internal and external stakeholders to promote learning and improvement.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Contribute to the development of evaluation frameworks that drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
Stay updated on new methodologies and trends in evaluation to identify opportunities for innovation.
Provide expert guidance on risk management and mitigation strategies related to impact measurement Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively participate in cross-portfolio teams to identify and implement improvement initiatives.
Leverage expertise to foster collaboration and innovation across WAPHA portfolios.
What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll bring: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
Extensive experience in program evaluation within the health sector.
Strong understanding of primary health care and health disparities.
Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
High-level data literacy with the ability to critically appraise research and interpret complex data relationships.
Demonstrated experience in cost-effectiveness analysis of health programs.
Proven ability to implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks effectively.
Strong skills in producing high-quality reports and presentations.
Robust project management skills with a track record of delivering outcomes.

The Strategy & Engagement Portfolio works across WAPHA and with external stakeholders to set strategic direction and priorities, lead and facilitate stakeholder engagement, communicate our purpose and the outcomes of our work in the community, ensure our work is informed by analysis and translation of national and state health policy, define program goals, support innovation in Australian Government funded programs, and lead the preparation of strategic frameworks, policy submissions and position papers.
