Application Services Manager

A market leader in the financial services industry is hiring an Application Support Manager to oversee their dynamic application support team & deliver outstanding results.
Location: Sydney or Melbourne
$190k Package, Plus Bonus
The Role :

Lead and manage a team of x14, including Team Leaders, ensuring high-performance delivery & fostering a collaborative environment.
Be the primary point of escalation for the team, strategically relieving workload pressures from your Senior Manager.
Develop and implement frameworks for managing cloud & on-premise solutions, ensuring high system availability & performance.
Oversee service requests, incidents, and proactive monitoring using Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
Drive continuous improvement by automating processes and enhancing service delivery.
Define and achieve Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Objectives (SLOs) in collaboration with stakeholders.
Contribute to the organisation's technology strategy, aligning with growth and innovation goals.
What You Bring Experience : 3+ years in a leadership role.
Leadership Skills : Strategic mindset with proven ability to inspire, guide, and support a team, while effectively managing escalations.
SRE Expertise : Demonstrated experience implementing SRE principles and using associated tools.
Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Error Budgets.
Technical Proficiency : Previous hands-on experience supporting applications based on .NET, C#, and SQL.
Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills with a client-focused approach.
Advantageous Skills : Familiarity with Agile methodologies, financial platforms, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
