The roleIf you are passionate about blending robotics with laboratory work and enjoy solving complex problems, this could be a fantastic opportunityALS Geochemistry has an opportunity for a full time Laboratory Technician | HAG Operator to join our XRF team based in Stafford on Brisbane's northside.This role will be predominantly working with our HAG-System robot.
This role would suit someone with an interest in science and robotics and a problem solver brain.This role is 12-hour, Day / Night rotating shift pattern. The day to dayResponsibilities include:
Operation and maintenance of automation systemsEnsure preventative and routine maintenance is carried out as per prescribed schedule following operating manual.Resolve operational and/or systems problems to minimise production downtime.Implement corrective actions where quality outcomes are compromised.Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements, company policy and statutory requirements.Forming part of a skilled and high performing XRF team, you will have the support of a progressive and experienced management team and be exposed to a variety of interesting and challenging work environments.

The EssentialsWe believe to be successful in this role, you will be a motivated individual who will ideally possess the following:
A strong interest in science and robotics; a Science or Trade qualification would be beneficial, but not essential.Availability to work a 12-hour, Day / Night rotating shift pattern.Mechanical aptitude.High level of problem-solving skills.Ability to multi-task and a great work ethic.Working at ALSOur people drive our success at ALS.
