Add expected salary to your profile for insightsBe a part of a high-performing and driven placement teamWorking on some of Australia's best-known brandsBe a senior placement broker and technical resource within Aon AustraliaAon is in the business of better decisionsAt Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the day will look likeThe Placement Director role sits within Commercial Risk, Australia, reporting to the Head of Placement, Global & Corporate.Key responsibilities will include:Providing technical advice and direction to the Global & Corporate segment with appropriate market solutionsAdvising on strategy and tactics to ensure we achieve set goals around revenue, margin and client satisfactionCo-ordinate the broader placement team in an overarching risk transfer strategy and execution across all product linesConducting negotiations with underwriters and executives within our carrier partnersImplementing and providing input into our market engagement strategiesProvide input and advice around improving Aon policy structures and wordingsCreate and share insights with clients, carriers and colleagues from Aon's data & analytics platformsStrategic Account Manager on nominated accountsSkills and experience that will lead to successAn in-depth understanding of all commercial products and policy wordings, with a particular focus on PropertyDemonstrable track record in being able to clearly articulate an insurer engagement strategyOutstanding negotiation and communication skillsA strong personality that can work in an ever-changing and fluid roleAbility to interpret data and make recommendations on solutions that are consistent with the goals set by the various business leadersStrong insurer network at all levels and ability to communicate and negotiate well with insurersHave the resilience to deal with conflict and achieve resolution when resistance is presentExposure to Captive structures and complex placements as well as good knowledge of the International hubs of London and SingaporeHow we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
