About the role: We are currently seeking a Community Support Worker Domestic to join our friendly and supportive Home and Community Care team and work in North West Metropolitan areas of Greenwood, Mullaloo, Madeley and surrounding suburbs. To be considered for this role you must currently live within a 15 minute drive of this area. You must also have a current Australian driver's licence and a reliable car. Our Juniper Home and Community Care team provides community based care programs that assist our aged customers to continue to live independently in their own homes. Renowned for our commitment to the delivery of person centred care and best practice in relation to the provision of quality care, you will be working in a supportiveenvironment that encourages initiative and leadership.
Whilst working in this rewarding role you will be responsible for providing Domestic Assistance, Social Support and transport to maximize customer independence in their own homes within the community. Care and services are responsive, timely and empowering, enabling the customer to lead a continued safe and independent value added life within their own home.
This position is being offered on a permanent part-time basis working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week, with working hours between 9am-5pm.To be considered for this role you must be available between these hours on these days each week.
Applicants will also be considered for future similar vacancies within the team over the next twelve months.
Key Responsibilities: ·Provide direct support and assistance to customers with cleaning and meal preparation
·Assist and encourage customers with communication and socialisation
·Social Support, including transport to shops or appointments
·Adherence to Client Care Plan and complete documentation
·Maintain compliance with Juniper policies and procedures
·Compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements
Key Requirements: ·A reliable vehicle and current Australian driver's licence – essential
·Certificate III Aged Care or Dementia Care Course - desirable
·Understand documentation and relevant aged care legislation
·Understand principles of Occupational, Safety & Health and correct manual handling
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills
