Executive Services Officer - Central Queensland RegionAbout the Department:The Department of Education is dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community and schools we support by treating everyone with respect and dignity. This includes making reasonable adjustments to support applicants at all stages of the process and employee lifecycle.About the Role:As the Executive Services Officer you will:Provide efficient, effective and confidential executive and administrative services to the Senior Officer.Prepare, coordinate and disseminate relevant information and liaise with a diverse range of departmental clients and community bodies on behalf of regional officers, specific to the function, and in support, of the operation of the regional office.Schedule appointments and maintain diaries, receive and assist visitors, identify client needs and redirect telephone calls.Take minutes of meetings and distribute to attendees, coordinate room bookings and functions, and organise and provide support to conferences.Coordinate and organise travel and accommodation.Provide advice regarding office administrative procedures, provide word processing services and produce advanced desktop published documents.Undertake work across a broad range of regional services activities to support the region and schools which may include the administration of ordering and payment procedures.Use spreadsheets and databases and assist in the preparation of communication material, spreadsheets, reports, submissions, briefing material and correspondence on a range of issues.The day-to-day line support of the position rests with the Director, Education Services or nominated delegate.This position is a Temporary role from 20 January 2025 to 5 December 2025, unless otherwise determined. The Regional office position location can be based at any of the five Central Queensland regional offices: Emerald, Gladstone, Longreach, Mackay or Rockhampton.
