What You'll Do In this role, you will assist in facilitating the return-to-work process by liaising with employees, line managers, and insurers. You will help manage the administration of worker injury claim forms, ensuring accurate data is reviewed and submitted. Your responsibilities will include:
Updating incident registers and SharePoint folders with medical invoices, receipts, and certificates related to injury claims.Maintaining compliance registers.Supporting the generation of OHS reports and statistics for line managers.Assisting with the submission of Notifiable Incidents to WorkSafe and helping during inspections as needed.Monitoring injured employees' Certificate of Capacity due dates.Providing support to the OHS Business Partner in addressing OHS issues and risks.What You'll Bring We are looking for a motivated OHS Support Officer, ideally with relevant certificate-level qualifications or experience in a similar role supporting occupational health and safety outcomes. Previous experience in an administrative support position, particularly within a public sector environment, is preferred. The successful applicant will have:
Experience in data entry and management, especially with incident registers and compliance records.A basic understanding of OHS legislation and compliance requirements.Familiarity with workplace injury rehabilitation processes and worker injury claim forms (advantageous).Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite at a basic to intermediate level.Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.The ability to prioritise tasks while working under general supervision.A willingness to adapt and learn new processes and tools.The judgment to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.All other key selection criteria can be found in the position description which is located under the attachments heading on the Victorian Government Careers website.
