Job Description: We are hiring
Gold Coast Disability and Youth is seeking an experienced Disability Support Workers with a robust background in complex mental health support to join our team to join our team.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working with ASD, BPD, PTSD, and Schizophrenia.
This role involves mentoring clients, supporting their independence, and facilitating group programs.
Candidates should be passionate about assisting individuals with disabilities and possess excellent communication skills.

We are looking for a team of workers to support a range of clients with daily activities, community access and specifically overnight sleepovers .

Responsibilities: Mentor clients to encourage independence in employment and training goals.
Achieve positive outcomes for clients.
Empower clients to succeed through various pathways.
Support clients' personal growth and development.
Optimize work experience opportunities for clients.
Maintain documentation of service provision and reporting.
Develop and implement capacity building, job readiness, and work experience support.
Assist with group programs, including content generation and facilitation.
Requirements: Ability to plan and prepare for client issues.
Availability to work sleepover shifts.
A qualification of at least a Cert 4 in a relevent field.
(Youth, disability, community, mental health, ect…) NDIS Working Screening Check.
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
Current Blue & Yellow card (or ability to obtain) Driver's license and own car.

Excellent attention to detail.
Empathy and healthy boundaries.
Ability to manage client behaviour and set goals.
Organizational and time management skills.
Manage clients with complex behaviours.
