Senior Analyst Location - Sydney - need to be based in Sydney with 2 days from the office and rest from home.
Engage in Design, Insights, Capability, Delivery, and Stakeholder Management.
Structure data to provide insights that enable the business to solve problems and guide strategic direction.
The Company A major Australian Bank in the Business Wealth space are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to contribute to solutions that benefit their customers in both the short and long term, while engaging in diverse focus areas including Design, Insights, Capability, Delivery, and Stakeholder Management.
The Role Reporting into a seasoned Execuive Manager your role will focus on managing major data projects including a broad range of data analysis activities to ensure it is fit for purpose and can deliver required business outcomes.
You will play a crucial role in developing and deploying significant improvements through Analytics practices.
By structuring data to develop insights, you will enable the business to solve problems and guide strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities Design and present complex data visualizations and intuitive graphics for a non-technical audience, effectively managing a backlog to align with strategic goals.
Understand data needs, create collection plans, and implement them to validate business problems.
Gather and translate data into structured, reusable insights for the team and wider business.
Continuously improve data logic, structure, and visualizations to support project delivery across various platforms Share knowledge within internal and external networks to enhance performance and productivity.
About You A tertiary or postgraduate qualification in a computing, mathematical, or finance discipline.
4+ years of experience across data and business analytics (using SQL, SAS, Teradata, Python).
Experience working within big data projects within Banking and Finance or similar industries a big plus
Proficiency in analytical frameworks and tools (Python desirable) with demonstrated experience and strong knowledge of Teradata SQL with experience in Teradata Data Warehouse environments.
Experience with Teradata ETL systems (BTEQ, MLOAD, TPump, Viewpoint) a big plus
Proficiency in translating and analyzing large data sets and demonstrated competence in using statistical analysis to solve business problems.
General knowledge of visualization tools, preferably Tableau, and an awareness of Lean Six Sigma a plus
