Who are we looking for?
To support the continuing growth of GHD's national and international Aviation business, we are seeking an
experienced Pavement Engineer
to join the team in Victoria.
The opportunity is best suited for someone at the Senior to Lead level.
With regards to the role, it will give you the opportunity to work across a broad portfolio of projects within a diverse and incredibly passionate national aviation and pavement team.
You'll also be provided with a balance of technical work, project delivery and reporting for our valued clients.
Working with an energetic, well-renowned and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Undertaking pavement designs for roads, airports and ports in accordance with industry guidelines.
Providing engineering input into associated design documentation (drawings and technical specifications).
Pavement materials assessments and sound knowledge of innovative and sustainable pavement technologies.
Undertaking site inspections and pavement condition assessments.
Construction phase support including response to RFIs and site surveillance (where required).
Leading and preparing proposals and tender responses.
Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with existing and new clients.
Design management and project management for a wide range of aviation projects.
Overseeing and supervising the designs of junior engineers and helping with their ongoing development.
What you will bring to the team?
Bachelor of Civil Engineering, or similar qualifications specialising in Aviation and Pavements, coupled with at least 8+ years of demonstrated experience.
Proficient in local and international standards and guidelines including Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Sound understanding of pavement engineering technologies and software.
Strong commercial acumen, with excellent problem-solving capability in order to provide superior results for our clients.
Experience in developing and providing technical input to projects and proposals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level of integrity.
Strong team player and ability to network with peers and identify opportunities nationally and internationally.
