Engineering TechnicianDepartment: DesignPosition Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 plus superBenefits:Skills training at the company's expenseSemi-annual KPI appraisalPerformance-based commission and salary bonusAward Classification: Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2010 (MA000010)Award Category: C4 - Engineering Associate/Laboratory Technical OfficerANZCO Code: 312512Work Eligibility: Able to work in Australia with no restrictionPurpose of the Position:Project management of multiple projects at different stages.Machine assembly, testing, commissioning and installation.Post project customer support.Qualifications:AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in mechanical engineering (or equivalent international qualification).Experience:Minimum of 1-year experience in machine design or relevant engineering role.Experience in automation or manufacturing industry preferred but not essential.Familiarity with safety requirements of machine design.Sound knowledge of PLC's, sensors, pneumatics, servo motors, conveyors and robotic based automation systems.Knowledge, or the ability to quickly gain knowledge in robotic based automation systems.Be familiar with manufacturing practice and experience in automation and robotic design concepts.Essential Skills and Attributes:Project managementAbility to manage multiple projects at different stagesAbility to work to deadlines and budgetsExperience in specification and ordering of purchase componentsExperience in the development of machine manuals and documentationDemonstrated skills in document and revision controlAbility to provide exceptional post-project customer supportMachine assembly, testing, commissioning and installationSelecting tools and equipmentAssembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systemsEstimating material costs and quantities, and machine requirementsPerforming and directing field and laboratory testsCollecting and analysing data, carrying out complex computations and preparing diagramsOrganising and supervising inspection and maintenance of machines and plantEnsuring that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisionsDemonstrated ability and experience in machine assembly, testing, commissioning and installationAbility to assist with prototyping, testing and design validationResponsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environmentAbility to provide exceptional post-project customer supportPersonal Skills and Attributes:Proven ability to work independently and with others in a vibrant, team-orientated environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to accurately and effectively convey information to clients at all levelsDemonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and build relationships cross-culturally and at all levels, and rapidly establish rapport with internal and external stakeholdersSelf-motivated with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solvingProven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to prioritise workloads with competing demandsStrong work ethic with prioritisation, time-management and deadline achievement skillsWillingness and ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment including technological changesBe able to work with minimal supervisionDesirable Skills and Attributes:ABB Robot programmingElectrical SchematicsPLC programming experienceSolid Edge or Solid Works design experienceAutoCAD design experienceReckon Accounts Hosted experienceA current Australian Driver's LicenseHow to Apply?Submit cover letter, current resume, and a 1-minute video detailing why we should consider your job application to ****** applicants will be contacted directly.
