Selfie Leslie/Jo Jo Fashion Group, a leader in women's fashion, is seeking a Head of Design to bring expertise in women's fashion design and manage our talented design team.
This role requires a creative visionary with a strong background in fashion who can lead the team in developing stylish, trend-forward collections that align with our brands.
Position Review: The Head of Design at Selfie Leslie/Jo Jo Fashion Group will be a pivotal role, driving the brand's design vision and defining the aesthetic direction for our women's fashion collections.
This role demands both creativity and leadership, as you will guide a talented team in creating trendsetting, high-quality designs that resonate with our target audience.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong eye for trends, deep technical expertise, and the ability to align design efforts with the brand's growth strategy and market positioning.
Role and Responsibilities: Spearhead the design vision for Selfie Leslie/Jo Jo Fashion Group's women's fashion lines, ensuring all designs reflect the brand's identity and appeal to our audience.Manage, mentor, and inspire the design team, fostering an environment of creativity and collaboration.Guide the design process from initial concept to final production, overseeing everything from fabric selection to garment construction.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, production, and marketing, to align design direction with business objectives and market trends.Continuously research and incorporate the latest trends in women's fashion to keep Selfie Leslie's offerings fresh and relevant.Evaluate and refine design prototypes, ensuring product quality and consistency with brand standards.Oversee design budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient processes and timely delivery of each collection.Key Requirements: Proven experience managing and leading a design team in the fashion industry.Significant experience in women's fashion design (required), with a strong portfolio that demonstrates trend awareness, technical skills, and creativity.Expertise in design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and knowledge of garment construction and production processes.Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to create designs that are not only visually appealing but also align with market demands and business objectives.Passionate about staying on top of fashion trends and translating them into unique, high-quality designs.Deep understanding of current fashion trends and consumer behaviour, with a keen eye for detail.Ability to adapt to the fast-paced environment of fashion and ever-changing trends.Team spirit, highly collaborative, proactive, resilient, and determined.Excellent time management skills, reliable and efficient, ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines.About Us: We are a forward-thinking fashion company that encompasses design, production, and sales.
