The key duties of the position include The RoleWithin the ICT Strategy and Architecture function, an EL 2 ICT Enterprise Architect works with considerable independence and is accountable to perform and achieve very complex enterprise architecture work within an integrated workforce.
They will require extensive knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and Defence's mission and policies requirements.
An ICT Enterprise Architect will exercise a significant degree of independence and perform an important leadership role.
They will be responsible for influencing and developing strategies, policies, priorities, and operational practices in support of Defence objectives based on high-level decision making and judgement.
They will provide strategic advice to senior management and stakeholders as well as leading and assuming accountability for very complex work that has strategic, political, or operational significance.
This position has people management responsibility; you will be required to exercise your people management skills and knowledge to lead a high-performing and cohesive team.
About our TeamEnterprise Technology Operations Branch (ETOB) delivers quality ICT services to Defence in support of military operations and corporate business.
Our purposes and activities centre on supporting ICT operations and maintaining sustainable service levels to provide an effective ICT capability for our customers.
ETOB's role in supporting Joint Capabilities Group (JCG) is integral to the ADF's role in the protection and projection of national power.
Our role will enable Chief of Joint Capabilities (CJC) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide Defence users with access to a secure, reliable, and integrated information, communications, and technology environment.

Management of applications across information management, business information systems, security, and identity domains;Management of the delivery of Platform Services to Defence and provide governance between the Centralised Processing Project (CP) to deliver software application hosting and data storage services.Our Ideal CandidateThe duties of an EL 2 ICT Enterprise Architect occupation in Defence include the following:
Accountable for providing leadership and direction to ensure a high level of integration and consistency across Defence, national and international partners.Direct the development of enterprise-wide architecture and processes which ensure the strategic application of change is embedded in Defence.Develop and review an enterprise strategy to support the strategic requirements of Defence.Has expertise in identifying and prioritising market and environmental trends and understand the business benefits and risks of alternative strategies.Facilitate and encourage partnership, reward cooperative and collaborative behaviour in the team and resolve conflict using appropriate strategies.Anticipate major changes affecting the organisation and leverage resources to embrace and implement change.Accountable to identify compliance issues between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities, and technology directions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
