Ward Clerk – Protea WardPeninsula Private Hospital, FrankstonThe OpportunityThis position will see you providing reception and administrative assistance to our Protea Ward, which is a 30-bed mixed medical Surgical Ward. This is a permanent full time role where you will be the first point of contact for enquiries and visitors on the ward.Your responsibilities will include:Admission and discharge processes to ensure appropriate bed management and utilisationManaging incoming and outgoing calls to the centreProvide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departmentsWork alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patientsCompilation and management of patient admission papers, medical records, clinical notes and specific paperworkSkills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role you will demonstrate:Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focusIntermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracyHigh level time management and organisational skillsCertificate in Medical terminology highly regardedA professional and personable dispositionAbility to work within a team environment and multitaskWillingness to learn and the ability to grasp concepts with easePrevious experience in a hospital administration position or other medical secretary position desired but not essentialPrevious experience using Patient Information Systems (i.e. Meditech)Previous experience using hospital mainframe systems (Desirable)RequirementsMust provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 monthsAccording to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseasesTo ApplyAll applications must be lodged online.
