The RoleThe primary duty of the Venue Manager is to oversee all operations of Discovery Parks Lake Argyle Resort food and beverage outlets.
This includes the management of all staff, the oversight of all procedures, and the troubleshooting of any problems.
We are seeking an experienced, positive, and passionate leader who is eager to drive customer-service excellence.
Reporting to the venue's General Manager, your proven ability to maximise profitability and take a hands-on approach to delivering the highest standards across all operational aspects of the venue is paramount.
Your responsibilities will include:
Rostering, training, mentoring and building a great team cultureEnsuring all guests are happy with service and dealing with all feedbackStrong relationship building with activities team and kitchen to ensure smooth running of tour groupsRemain calm under pressure and encourage the same from the team through training and understandingEnsure Food Safety Standards, compliance with all safety, statutory and brand standardsWork at Lake Argyle for a season - Infinity pool with all the viewsAdvance your careerFuture opportunities within the companyStrong package on offer with free accommodation and mealsBe a part of building the team you want around youLeadership and ownership roleStrong support from General Manager and Head OfficeRelocation assistanceAccess to EAPExtensive employee benefits - discounted flights, accommodation, car hireDiscounts across 300+ G'Day and Discovery Parks throughout AustraliaThis is a remote role, where you will be living and working at Lake Argyle.

This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg, kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery. Prior to an offer of employment being made, candidates must provide authority for a Federal Police Clearance to disclose any criminal offences or charges.
