About the role:With A&G experiencing rapid growth, ambitious expansion plans, and increasing operational complexity, the organisation is establishing an Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to centralise oversight of Group projects.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of in-flight projects and in developing project management excellence both within the EPMO and across the organisation.
The EPMO Lead will also play an influential role in shaping the project management culture, building a highly skilled team of professionals to support A&G's strategic goals.

This includes expertise in budget and scope management, ensuring alignment with organisational goals while delivering programmes within the defined schedule.
A strong foundation in risk and dependency management is critical, with the ability to identify, mitigate, and escalate cross-programme risks or constraints as needed, all while ensuring compliance with internal audit and risk management standards. The successful candidate will need to bring significant experience in resource management, maintaining high-quality documentation and reporting standards, and overseeing programme planning and administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and reporting.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, including the ability to act as a liaison between the project team and external experts to ensure deliverables meet expectations.
Familiarity with managing programme benefits throughout the project lifecycle, with a smooth handover to the business or the EPMO for ongoing monitoring, is also key.A strong understanding of governance is vital, with experience supporting Steering Committee (SteerCo) governance and ensuring compliance with programme governance standards.
The ideal candidate will also need to possess exceptional leadership skills and a background in programme management, PMO leadership, or large-scale project delivery, ideally with over seven years of relevant experience.
Industry experience in insurance IT, risk management, business transformation, or managing complex programmes is preferred, making this role suited for professionals well-versed in navigating dynamic, multifaceted environments.
