The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and passionate Packaging & Sustainability Manager based in Melbourne.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Quality, Safety & Sustainability, you'll play a pivotal role in partnering with our Business Units in making a tangible impact on our packaging processes and environmental footprint.

Working across multiple locations, you'll champion innovation in packaging and deliver solutions that align with our sustainability goals.
How you will make a difference: Spearhead compliance with evolving packaging regulations, including the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) and Australasian Recycling Label (ARL) guidelines. Develop and implement strategies for sustainable packaging circularity, including a compliance roadmap for regulatory transitions. Lead initiatives to reduce waste, improve recyclability, and explore innovative packaging materials and technologies. Collaborate across business units to address packaging quality, operational efficiency, and value engineering opportunities. Mentor and guide Packaging Technologists while fostering collaboration across teams. What you'll bring to Kinrise: At least 5 years in a packaging management or senior specialist role within the FMCG food industry. Proven expertise in managing packaging sustainability, regulatory compliance, and reporting (e.g., APCO, ARL, DCCEEW). Tertiary degree in Packaging Technology, Food & Packaging Innovation, or Packaging Engineering preferred. Exceptional project management, problem-solving, and change management abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems. Knowledge of packaging systems, materials, and conversion technologies. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders while maintaining attention to detail.
