We offer a supportive environment that encourages professional development and provides opportunities to broaden your experience through internal working groups and committees across VEC branches.What you will be doingReporting directly to the Lead Investigator, this role will be responsible for:Conducting serious, complex, and sensitive breaches of the Electoral Act 2002, including intricate financial mattersPreparing briefs, reports, correspondence, and recommendations on complex issuesAnalysing, interpreting, and applying complex legal and policy issues while ensuring compliance with legal requirementsManaging competing priorities that involve inflexible timelines while working autonomouslyWhat you will bring to the roleExperience in a law enforcement, legal, compliance, financial, and/or regulatory discipline is highly desirableDemonstrated high analytical skills, with experience in interpreting and analysing financial statements being a benefitStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare briefs of evidence, reports, and recommendations on complex issuesAbility to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced business environment, particularly during peak election periodsA strong commitment to self-development and a willingness to learnHow to applyAll applicants must submit:a current CV, anda cover letter, anda separate document no more than two pages long with responses addressing the key skills/abilities 6.1, 6.2, 6.4, and 6.6 of the Key Selection Criteria (KSC) as listed in the position descriptionApplications should be lodged online via the Apply Now button (below).
