THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Senior Project Metallurgist, the Metallurgical Technician is responsible for taking ownership & working to execute the site metallurgical test work program.
Their role is to effectively assist the metallurgy team with their goals through the completion of test work & reporting, in turn, helping the metallurgists to ensure that concentrate production and associated processing unit operations are controlled in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
This is a permanent position, with an 8/6 roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Building key relationships with relevant stakeholders.
Sample preparation (drying, splitting, pulverizing).
Wet & dry sizing.
Bench scale flotation test work.
Bench scale HLS test work.
Processing plant sample collection (routine & ad hoc surveys).
Instrumentation verification (pH probes).
Reagent strength measurement & tracking (soda ash, flocculant etc.).
Technical report writing & data entry (routine & ad hoc).
Metallurgical laboratory administration (stock management & housekeeping).
ABOUT YOU:
Previous metallurgical laboratory work experience.
High level of attention to detail, quality, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Hands-on & autonomous approach to work.
Ability to create effective working relationships in a diverse workforce.
Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite.
Current WA Driver's licence.
