They are currently looking for an Underwriter with strong legal expertise to be responsible for the legal ramifications of policy wording.

Duties and responsibilities include Make timely and fair indemnity decisions while ensuring compliance with underwriting policies.
Maintain and update the Underwriting Manual in line with legislative changes.
Provide expert legal advice on complex cases and assist with complaint handling.
Collaborate with legal teams to review policy wordings and ensure compliance.
Provide training to team members on underwriting processes and legal concepts.
Ensure marketing collateral reflects underwriting policies accurately.
What you'll need to succeed 3+ years of experience in professional indemnity or medical indemnity underwriting.
Strong knowledge of insurance law, regulations, and compliance.
RG146/Tier 2 qualification or higher in insurance industry studies.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to handle complex information with strong attention to detail.
Proactive mindset and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
