About the role Pulteney Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Outdoor Learning Coordinator to join our team.
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging outdoor learning experiences that complement our curriculum and enhance our students' holistic development.
Based in Adelaide, SA, this position offers the opportunity to shape our school's approach to outdoor education and contribute to the growth and wellbeing of our vibrant school community.
What you'll be doing Designing and implementing a comprehensive outdoor learning program that aligns with the school's educational objectives Organising and leading outdoor activities, field trips, and excursions that expand students' knowledge and skills Collaborating with teachers to integrate outdoor learning opportunities into the curriculum Ensuring the safety and well-being of students during all outdoor activities Managing the maintenance and procurement of outdoor equipment and resources Promoting outdoor learning initiatives and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship among the school community Providing training and professional development for teaching staff to enhance their delivery of outdoor learning experiences What we're looking for Tertiary qualifications in education, outdoor recreation, or a related field Extensive experience in outdoor education program development and implementation Demonstrated expertise in leading and supervising outdoor activities, including risk management and emergency response Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students, parents, and staff Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and work within deadlines A passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to promoting outdoor learning and hands-on experiences A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for off-campus activities What we offer Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for professional development and career growth Collaborative and collegial work culture Discounts on school fees for dependents Wellbeing initiatives and employee assistance programs You can view the full Position Description here.
