Demonstrated ability to lead a wellbeing team while effectively managing time and priorities.
Demonstrated extensive experience collaborating with various school stakeholders, including counselling students, delivering professional development for school staff, and coordinating and presenting workshops for students and parents.
Demonstrated capacity to implement and manage intervention strategies for complex cases in a school, including critical incidents.
Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing wellbeing processes in a school setting.
Demonstrated high level organisational, communication and inter-personal skills including the ability to work effectively with young people, parents/carers and teachers as well as professionals in the education system.
Role
Range 4 is distinguished by broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of finance, human resource and other support functions. Range 4 is responsible for managing a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations.
Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction minimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.
Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee's position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
Responsibilities
All staff at Rosehill Secondary College are required to comply with Child Safe legislation and policy.
The Student Wellbeing Team (SWT) Leader is an integral part of the College Wellbeing Team and provides a wide range of support to students and families. They liaise with Departmental, community and internal groups and agencies to provide support and advice to students and families. The SWT Leader will also provide proactive and professional learning for staff in order to help them better recognise and understand the wellbeing demands and signs of need from our students.
The SWT Leader position requires a demonstrated understanding of confidentiality, high level organisational and strong communication skills. The SWT Leader must be able to relate to, and interact with a wide range of clients, service providers and Departmental staff in a professional and ethical manner and demonstrate a strong compliance with DET's 7 core values. An understanding of the public sector code of conduct is a requirement of this position.
Key aspects include:
Promote a culture of Respect, Initiative and Learning.
Report to and maintain a close working relationship with Principal Class.
Lead and support the Student Wellbeing Team (including Mental Health Practitioner, Social Workers, Counsellors, School Psychologists and External Psychologists).
Work collaboratively with school teams to contribute to wellbeing policies and operational practices that will guide the work of others.
Undertake other duties as required by the Principal.

Applicants must have a current Working with Children Check.
Desirable
For Counselling applicants, Level 3-4 registration (ACA) or a Registered Clinical Counsellor endorsement (PACFA).
