Urban Building Solutions Pty Ltd (UBS) is a growing insurance building company within the ARA Group with a large portfolio of national insurance clients within strata, commercial and residential sectors. With our head office in Sydney's Inner West, UBS operates in Sydney and Newcastle extending south to Batemans Bay / ACT and north up to the Queensland border. We plan to open UBS Queensland next year.We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Sydney. In this role you will be an integral member of the UBS team reporting to the Construction Manager. There is an opportunity for an immediate start; however, we are prepared to wait for the right person to join us.This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager. You will bring to the role your local experience together with a diverse network of reliable sub-contractors who will deliver quality work consistent with the UBS brand.In this new role, you will have the responsibility of managing the administration of all projects with support provided by the Construction Manager, Site Project Manager, and the office-based administration team.The role will require you to work closely with our clients, administration team, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients and customers. A strong work ethic and customer service ethos is a must.We operate a friendly work environment where hard work is rewarded and flexibility reciprocated.Above industry salaryNumerous opportunities to advance both in role and remuneration based on performance within both UBS and ARA parent group.A fully paid company vehicle including personal usageA friendly and supportive team environmentFlexible working including limited working from home opportunities once training has been completedDuties & Responsibilities:Review of documentation to understand the history of all approved jobs prior to commencement and allocation to relevant supervisors – raise issues to the Estimating team if requiredCreate expected budgets for the supervisors and agree on provisional schedule / completion datesManage provisional sums and client variations with the supervisorManage client updates and progress reports with the supervisorManage the procurement of trades with the supervisorConduct regular fortnightly WIP meetings with supervisors to identify potential job issues.Coordinate with accounts the submission of progress claims and final client invoicesProactively assess Supervisor KPIsEducation & Qualifications:Valid Driver's LicenseWhite cardExperience & Knowledge:Minimum 5 years proven experience in a similar Project Manager role – insurance industry experience is preferred although not essentialYou will understand the commercial aspects of your roleExcellent relationship management & communication skills, both written and verbalA highly organised approach and attention to detailIntermediate level of computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).If you believe you have the qualities/attitude and skill set to succeed, together with the ability to positively promote the UBS brand at all times, apply nowAGENCIES NOT TO APPLY
