ABOUT THE ROLE Barker College is currently seeking an experienced Design and Technology Teacher based at our Hornsby campus.
This will be a permanent full-time role commencing 1 January 2025 (New Staff Orientation is 23 January 2025), or as soon as practicable.
The successful applicant will deliver lessons to Year 7 and/or Year 8 Technology and Year 9 and/or Year 10 Design and Technology and Industrial Technology classes.
The ability to deliver these courses at a Stage 6 level is not essential, though would be advantageous.
An understanding of engineering whilst not essential would also be considered favourable.
The Design and Technology Department provides a wide range of hand and machine tools to facilitate project-based learning experiences, as well as a suite of digital applications and automated machines to facilitate manufacturing.

The ability to coach sports is highly desirable.
