Business Development Manager

Our client is a leading medium-sized business that supplies high-quality locks, door handles, hinges, and accessories to the door manufacturing industry.
With a strong presence in both the aluminum and fabrications sector as well as the timber and joinery industry, they are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager/Account Manager to join their growing team.This role offers a perfect blend of business development (60%) and account management (40%).
You'll have the opportunity to build and cultivate relationships with new clients in the aluminum, fabrications, timber, and joinery industries.
Additionally, you'll inherit a portfolio of established clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction while driving further growth.Your Key Responsibilities: Generate new business and create lasting relationships in the aluminium, fabrications, timber, and joinery sectors.Maintain and grow existing client relationships, ensuring continued success and satisfaction.Identify emerging market trends and implement strategies to increase market share.Represent the company at trade shows, events, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility.Work closely with the Branch Manager and internal teams to deliver seamless customer service.Focus on acquiring new clients and retaining current accounts, with performance measured through key metrics.What We're Looking For:Background in door manufacturing, construction, or related industries, with an understanding of aluminium and fabrication or timber and joinery markets.A strong track record in business development and account management—balancing new business generation with nurturing existing client relationships.A basic understanding of door hardware and accessories is a bonus, with the ability to quickly learn technical details.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.Ambitious and driven, with a desire to align your career goals with our client's long-term succession plan.This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a company with a strong growth trajectory and an established path for career advancement.
