Maintenance Management Role - Manufacture and Supply for Sustainable Farming
About the Role This Australian company takes hundreds of tonnes per week of building materials that would otherwise go to landfill, and processes that into products that enable farmers to be more productive, profitable and sustainable.

Mining or Quarry Background Preferred This longstanding Australian business has been helping growers and farmers to best amend and care for their soil and improve their crop health.
They understand agriculture and want to help each of their customers have the most success possible with their crops.
Due to a rapid growth strategy and increasing business success, there is a need to hire a new Maintenance and Fabrication Supervisor.
The Supervisor's primary responsibility is to provide oversight and coordination of maintenance operations to maintain the highest standards of customer service, safety, efficiency and productivity.
This will include coordination of operational maintenance across the organisation, leading a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training and support, hands-on maintenance and fabrication, and managing operational costs to budget.
Key Responsibilities: Hands-on maintenance and fabrication activitiesPlan and schedule maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, to minimise equipment downtime and maximise production outputMonitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and implement appropriate maintenance strategies to prevent breakdowns and minimise disruptionsConduct regular inspections to assess the condition of machinery, equipment, and facilities, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standardsCollaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritise tasks based on operational needsManage and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability and timely procurementMaintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, reports, and equipment history, using computerised maintenance management systemsManage cost expenditure carefully to within budgetOutsource major repairs to outside providersExperience and Qualifications: Proven experience as a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial settingExcellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of techniciansStrong technical background with preferably a mechanical trade qualificationStrong technical knowledge and understanding of maintenance principles, practices, and equipment reliabilityExperience in maintaining trucks and heavy equipment such as excavators and industrial manufacturing process equipment would be very well regardedProficient computer skills, including experience with maintenance management processes and softwareThis is a privately held business with a practical can-do approach to business.
To be successful in this role, this new manager should show they share the practical values of the owners and staff and be able to lead by doing if needed.
