Accounts Receivables Officer

Our client, an innovative and growing organisation in the Cairns CBD, is seeking an Accounts Receivables Officer to join their dynamic team. With a progressive and rewarding company culture, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse group of employees across multiple locations.
The Opportunity
As the Accounts Receivables Officer, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivables and collections within the Corporate Services Department, supporting various finance functions and projects. This is an exciting role where you will collaborate with multiple teams and contribute to the financial success of the organisation.
Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Manage all accounts receivable functions, including raising and issuing ad hoc invoices to external parties;
Monitor invoicing requests to ensure timely processing and manage the AR mailbox to address queries promptly;
Perform debt recovery, including tracking customer accounts and following up on aged debtors;
Prepare and present monthly aged debt reports, including provisions for bad debts, and conduct monthly debtors meetings;
Oversee daily receipting from all sources, reconcile cash, and monitor bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately;
Assist with bank reconciliations, month-end calculations for doubtful debts, and other accounting tasks.
Your Skills & Experience
Proven experience in accounts receivable and collections processes, with a strong understanding of financial procedures;
Ability to manage multiple tasks with a focus on meeting deadlines and accuracy;
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders;
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and chart creation;
Ability to work autonomously while supporting the wider team when needed.

Full-time 6-month maternity leave contract, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm;
