Corporate Finance & Investment Banking (Banking & Financial Services) We are seeking a Bachelor of Commerce qualified (or near qualified) aspiring M&A Financial Analyst who is wanting to make investment banking their career.
Masters of Finance qualified (or near qualified) candidates should also apply.
Presser&Co is a small M&A boutique with a strong reputation in the global marketplace specialising in technology, industrials and business services.
As a Financial Analyst, you will be working directly with the Managing Director who has more than 40 years of experience in deal negotiation, finance, and company operations.
The successful candidate will be able, or growing in their ability, to analyse financial statements and build such statements in Excel.
Presser&Co uses Modano to speed up 3-way model construction, and the Financial Analyst needs to be sharp with an attention to detail, producing quality work.
The company works with various data sources and valuation tools, so we are looking for an application that demonstrates a candidate's foundational understanding of private and public company valuation.
Please provide a 3-way excel model that you have built, even if it were built as part of an academic assignment, valuing a private or public company together with your application ().
At the interview stage, you should expect to be asked about the design features you have incorporated in your model and the challenges you faced in building the model.
If you have other qualifications in addition to commerce, such as science, engineering, or even the arts, or you speak a European language, this would be viewed favourably.
Some understanding of the public equity markets and connections in regional Australia, where a number of the company's mandates operate, will be a plus.
We are looking for a person with a wide range of interests and abilities and who, despite their lack of experience, has the confidence to represent the business professionally, both locally and internationally.
Salary will be commensurate with experience, and team members participate in a bonus program.
The role is based in the Melbourne CBD with some flexibility to WFH up to two days per week.
