What your new job looks like
As a member of the CHUConsult team, you will be responsible for driving an outstanding customer experience, delivering market leading strata building consultancy through quality technical response.
Taking a Senior role in the team you will also provide technical advice and guidance to your colleagues and wider team.
Building Consultancy comprising residential & commercial strata
Causation investigation and analysis
Remediation advice and guidance
Insurance Underwriting surveys
Identify building defects and damage
Prepare and issuance of reports to articulate causation, extent of loss, and recommended remediation
Scope preparation and validation
Support CHU on the delivery of key strategic initiatives and projects
Work cohesively with all other claims teams within CHU
Provide technical claims advice for colleagues within your team
Providing risk insights and guidance to the Underwriting team
Willingness to develop and mentor Building Consultants
We'd love to meet you
Especially if you can talk to us about your:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar consultancy role
Hold a current Builders Licence

Thorough knowledge of the building industry
Thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
Ability to communicate with all customers both verbally and in written form
Ability to identify building defects and resultant damage
Ability to produce complex reports - causation / defects / risk / scope
Current residency in or willingness to relocate to NSW
Education/Qualifications
Diploma/Degree / Tertiary Qualification in Building / Construction
Minimum 10 years related work experience
Prior Insurance work - highly regarded
