Operations Manager - Fuel & Water Projects - Tier 2 ContractorEstablished, market leading national Tier 2 ContractorGrowing a business unit across fuel and water infrastructure projects across multiple statesExcellent career progression and cultureGreat opportunity to join a Tier 2 contractor with excellent presence in the resources, defence, industrial and commercial sectors with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects. A market leading Tier 2 contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their growing business in Brisbane QLD.
You will be building off existing sector offerings in NSW, QLD and VIC regions and implementing new offerings in the fuel and water infrastructure sector along the way.
In this role you will support business growth by securing new clients and projects and managing those projects through to delivery across multiple states.
The Operations Manager will be supported by National Senior Leadership and will work alongside the company, along with the executive leadership team that will work collaboratively to set and achieve growth strategies.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: Work with the Energy Sector Lead and State Managers to leverage off initial project wins and capabilities to continue significant growth in this sector and leverage this underserviced marketConduct research to identify new markets and customer needsUsing the existing in-house experience as a foundation, develop a coordinated delivery team to deliver multiple Fuel and Water infrastructure projects across the Eastern SeaboardDevelop a pipeline of Project Opportunities aligned with the business strategyDevelop and maintain client relationships to assist with the aligned pipeline of opportunitiesCo-ordinate and align with State and sector Managers to ensure efficient and effective utilisation of group resourcesBid management – Strategically champion bids from engagement through to submissionDevelop and maintain relationships with capable and culture aligned contractorsSubmit progress reports to Management and take part in Management engagement meetings to give feedback on progressForecast sales targets and co-ordinate the successful achievement of targetsSet short- and long-term strategyQualifications and Requirements: Extensive experience as an Operations or Business Development Manager in a Fuel and Water Infrastructure related construction environment, bringing an existing network contacts within the Australian Energy Sector to facilitate a fast transitionDiversified experience with large portfolio management including multiple major construction and/or infrastructure projects more than $50MCommercial acumen with the responsibility for the financial success of a multiple business unitsCommitment to business development and pre-contracts activityAbility to manage multiple business lines and deliver operational and growth strategies for allAbility to influence and drive teams to deliver contribution to business objectivesThis is a permanent full-time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
