Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development) iVirtus Care, an established organisation that is undergoing a recruitment drive in response to industry demand for Complex Disability Support Workers with experience across Behavioural Tracheostomy/ Ventilation Care Management, Epilepsy Management, Intellectual Disability, Acquired Brain Injury, behavioural support management, and other neurological/ physical disabilities.Currently recruiting for several vacancies in Roselands and surrounding suburbs for an IMMEDIATE START.
You must be available and flexible to be incorporated within an existing functional roster that spans across morning, afternoon and overnight (active) shifts.Our team is seeking experienced, highly passionate and committed disability support workers/nurses that are not only participant centric, but are also goal driven, self-motivated, proactive, and driven to contribute positively and compassionately to the care and supports of others to optimise the individuals quality of life.
*** NURSES ARE INVITED TO APPLY*** Due to the complex nature of our participants disabilities, Enrolled and Registered Nurses are invited to apply (pay grades negotiable pending on qualifications and applied experience).As a successful applicant you MUST have the following as a minimum requirement:Valid Driver's License & your own road safe vehicleValid National Police CheckValid Working with Children checkCurrent First Aid & CPR CertificateNDIS Workers Screening ClearanceMinimum of Certificate IV/ Diploma in Disability Support, Aged Care support, Community Services or Nursing qualificationsAll updated NDIS certifications as per NDIS Quality and Safeguards websiteMinimum 4 years applied continuous experience in supporting participants with highly complex needs***In line with the recommendations of compliance from NSW Health in response to COVID-19, all disability support workers will require COVID-19 vaccination prior to employment.
COVID-19 vaccination certificates will be requested on application.

Your duties & responsibilities can include but are not limited to:LOW LEVEL CAREPersonal Care – Showering, grooming, and attending to all needs that optimise all personal hygiene.Meal preparationGeneral Domestic AssistanceCommunity Access & participationMedication assistance through prompting and monitoringManual Handling, wheelchair assistanceMED – HIGH LEVEL CAREExtensive tracheostomy and ventilation careMedication administrationDiabetes Management – Insulin injections, Blood glucose monitoring and management, Diet ManagementPeg /Tube FeedingExtensive manual Handling using Slings, Lifters, Hoists, pelican belts, slide sheets/ boardsCurrently recruiting multiple vacancies in the following locations:Roselands – (Active overnight shifts with some day cover - morning and afternoon.
)Roselands - (Weekday - spanning across morning, and afternoon/evening shifts available)Greenacre - (afternoon and Saturday shifts)If successful, you will be allocated ongoing shifts as part of rotating rosters with ongoing career development support.
Must be available for minimum 2hr shifts.
All vacancies are for Casual with the opportunity to transition to Permanent Part Time.iVirtus Care remunerates in line with the SCHADS awards.
Complex disability support rates starting at $33.96/ hr - $43.08/hr + Super (penalties applicable as per award standards).
