Job DescriptionTo perform this role, it is essential that the person is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991. About the role The Transport driver will ensure adequate transport schedules are delivered to increase efficiency across the service.
In addition, this position will contribute to continual improvement projects with regards to client safety, client wait time, staff downtime and vehicle maintenance.
Duties Manage patient movement, transport, and best clinical outcomes in accordance with qualifications, scope, and authority to practice under the ATSICHS oversight frameworkAssist and follow direction for direct clinical care from senior team memberFollow operational directions from dispatch team to ensure efficient and timely response to requests for service from key stakeholders to meet KPI'sOversight of vehicle maintenance and cleaning schedules and processesAssist with the administration functions of the office including answering the phone, assisting with client administration, general administration tasks, maintaining the tidiness of the office, assisting with transporting goods and supplies, and any other ad hoc task as directed by the Program ManagerCoordinate care with other team members to provide a thorough, holistic care model for the clientsMaintain clean and neat appearancePrevious experience within the disability, aged care or patient transport services is highly regarded.Culture We are a diverse, ambitious team excited about what we do.

Annual salary of $54,330 per annum.11.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay).Permanent Full time role.Work for a community-controlled organisation.COVID - 19 Requirements Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid 19 vaccine is encouraged.Desired Skills and ExperienceRequired Hold an unrestricted C class driver's licence and drive in a safe and reasonable manner.Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.Previous experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.You are a team player and work towards common objectives, deadlines and set KPI's.Demonstrated caring and compassionate nature will support your patients with empathy, care and dignity.Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.Strong work ethic and the willingness to deliver excellent patient-centric care.Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.Be willing to undertake professional development as required.Preferred Transport experience in Primary Health setting.How to apply If this sounds like you, please submit your application by following the links on the recruitment page.
