ROLE PURPOSEOur next Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager NSW will partner with the business to build and embed safety capability in our people, safety systems and processes to enable a proactive safety culture here at Winc.
Reporting to our Head of HSW, this hands-on HSW role will see the incumbent maintaining a high standard of HSW as well as supporting continuous transformation across the business.
This role is situated at Winc National DC in Erskine Park.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESPartner with the business so that our leaders and teams are committed and accountable to deliver great safety and wellbeing outcomes.Provide Health and Safety functional expertise to the business using data and insights to identify and eliminate/manage key risks and high consequence processes across sites and address gaps.Lead and coach the Winc leaders and teams on safe ways of working and best practice in HSW.Partner with the business to ensure that all Winc's key tasks have a Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) in place, are accessible, reviewed and understood, and become our way of working.Build our people's capability so that they know and understand our Winc safety frameworks, Life Saving rules, hazard and risk management, incident management and investigation, communication and escalation, supporting systems and tools, safe ways of working (SOPs, One-page lessons & JSEAs), contractor management and risk review.Lead serious incidents investigations with leaders ensuring that Winc is compliant with legislation (State and Federal) and that Winc's interests are protected.Manage return to work and workers compensation claims management of injuries with the local team and provide advice and ensure plans are up to date and maintained with return-to-work coordinators.Work with leaders to develop local site safety plans and track completion to reduce local risks.Coach and develop the local site safety committee on identifying hazards, risks, and key controls.WHAT WE LOOK FORExperienced HSW leader with a background leading in a multisite, cross-functional network in warehousing, logistics, and office-based environments.Great communication skills (verbal, written and oral) that contribute to engaging and coaching teams and effective senior stakeholder management (presentation, facilitation, and coaching).Understanding of the regulatory environment and advanced knowledge of the Work Health & Safety Act, Regulations, and Codes of Practice (in each jurisdiction).Advanced practical knowledge of Hazard and Risk Management principles.Ability to investigate incidents and hazards and make recommendations for preventative action.Ability to identify safety issues and prepare a plan and mobilize teams to achieve goals.Ability to conduct training needs analysis and prepare and deliver development initiatives to address needs.WORKING WITH WINCWe believe we're better and smarter together and our values reflect our commitment to creating a welcoming, diverse, and inclusive environment.We all reap the rewards of diversity with gender equity across teams, senior management, and internal promotions as just the beginning.We are committed to First Nations empowerment and support and clear on our responsibility to take action to address the imbalance in opportunities.We are focused on working towards a more sustainable future with our Winc Social Agenda - our plan to make a difference across six pillars of social responsibility (Safe Work Practices, Gender Equity, First Nations Empowerment and Support, Climate Change, Responsible Packaging/Management of Waste, and Ethical Sourcing).We're passionate about setting our people up for success and providing the training, tools, and environment to enable you to perform your best and develop your career at Winc.We take care of our people through our internal Mental Health First Aider network, free access to our Employee Assistance Program, and generous leave entitlements to support you through the various priorities and stages of life (e.g., Lifestyle Leave, Volunteering Leave, Cultural Awareness Leave, Sorry Business Leave, Paid Parental Leave, Domestic Violence Leave).And finally, there's plenty of perks
