This includes making reasonable adjustments to support applicants at all stages of the process and employee lifecycle.Your OpportunityAs the Director-Information Governance and Digital Enablement, you would be charged with leading a coordinated approach to uplifting the maturity of information governance practices, overseeing the development of a strategic plan for information management & digital solutions and leading identified Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) initiatives.Your Initial Focus Will IncludeEstablishing foundation-level information governance frameworks and standards for the Division, in-line with corporate requirementsPartnering with the corporate Information & Technology Branch to develop an Information Governance & Digital (ICT) strategy/roadmap for the DivisionManage the performance of specialist resources engaged to facilitate development of the above strategy/roadmapProviding leadership to the Portfolio, Asset & Contract Technology Project, including development of business cases for digital solutionsProviding advice to the Division's recently established Business Transformation Committee on information governance and digital enablement needs and forward directionThis role will contribute to strengthening the Division's ability to meet stakeholder expectations through better understanding information governance and digital solution needs, defining the way forward and delivering identified ICT initiatives.The Ideal CandidateIs dynamic and inspires changeIs driven to make a difference, including getting hands-onDemonstrates achievement of outcomesCan communicate and influence at all levelsBuilds genuine relationships with staff and stakeholdersPrevious leadership level experience in information governance and/or digital enablement is expected.Although not mandatory, a formal qualification related to the responsibilities of the role is beneficial.How To ApplyA brief resume (maximum 3 pages) with contact details of 2 referees (including your current manager) andA maximum 2-page statement that outlines:Motivation to Apply for this RolePeople Leadership & Personal Attributes, including alignment with the Vision, Results and Accountability competencies in Leadership Competencies for Queensland and the personal attributes stated aboveInformation Governance Knowledge, Skills & Experience, such as: development, implementation and ongoing governance of information frameworks, standards, processes & procedures and controls; and assessing data integrity and compiling data improvement plansDigital (ICT) Strategy & Governance Knowledge, Skills & Experience, such as: development of strategies, roadmaps, plans and business cases for technology solutions to meet business needs; and ongoing governance of existing ICT systemsDelivery of ICT Projects/Initiatives, for example: experience in ICT PMO functions; managing ICT projects; or performing a senior business representative role on ICT Project BoardsWe welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.Applications from recruitment agencies will not be accepted.When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.Salary rate shown is reflective of full-time (1.0 FTE).The Department of Education is a family inclusive workplace.
