Job Description
Are you passionate about driving quality, ensuring compliance, and fostering continuous improvement?
Join our team as a Quality Officer , where you'll play a vital role in supporting our commitment to excellence and adherence to industry standards.

Reporting to the Quality, Risk & Compliance Manager , the Quality Officer is responsible for managing incidents and complaints, conducting internal audits, and facilitating performance management processes.
This role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with HCA policies, NDIS Practice Standards, and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders on incident management, NDIS audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide recommendations from incidents and audits, monitor action plans, and promote organizational learning.
Offer training and guidance to improve incident reporting processes and culture.
Support the performance management process in line with HR policy and procedures.
Engage with external stakeholders, including the NDIS Commission, consumers, and relevant authorities.
Skills Required:
The ability to complete and document professional, thorough, objective incident, complaint and HR investigations.
High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage in an exploratory and non-accusatory manner with a wide variety of stakeholders.
Excellent written communication skills for professional and objective correspondence, formal minute taking and report writing.
Well developed organisational skills, including the ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Excellent data analysis skills, and the ability to assess compliance against standards and identify trends.
Moderate to advanced computer literacy - advanced MS Office skills and ability to use incident management software.
Initiative, flexibility and strong attention to detail.
Qualifications
Demonstrated previous experience in risk-based assessment or ability to acquire quickly.
Experience in report writing or equivalent complex report writing.
Demonstrated high level time management, prioritisation and organisational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to manage sensitive and at times confronting information.
Demonstrated ability to work across multiple IT platforms including Teams and the full Microsoft Office suite.
Experience in the Disability sector (desirable).
Knowledge of NDIS Practice standards.
