Our Council is leading the transformation of Blacktown City and Western Sydney, implementing a vision for a modern city, full of opportunity for our residents and businesses.We are delivering high quality, customer-focused services, experiences, and facilities.About the opportunityWe have 5 new on-call casual positions available for experienced Customer Service Officers to join the Community Law Enforcement and Waste section.
In this role, you will provide a high level of customer service to customers requiring information concerning the Council's waste services and Food Organics and Garden Organics.You will be providing support to customers over the phone within the call centre and in person at the customer service counter.
Council's hours of operation are 8.00 am - 4.30 pm, Monday - Friday.
Weekly shifts and start and finish times will vary in accordance with our business needs.Qualifications and experienceRelevant qualifications in an appropriate field and/or relevant experienceA minimum of twelve (12) months' work experience in a similar roleCustomer service experience in either telephone, email or face to face enquiriesExperience in computer applicationsAvailability to work flexible working hoursAbility to work in a team environmentDemonstrated commitment to customer service.Previous experience in Local Government.Remuneration and benefitsThe salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
Entry level for this position starts at $36.3203 per hour, plus 25% casual loading.Employee benefits include leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport and gym membership discounts, and social clubs.Our commitment to safetyBlacktown City Council is committed to safety.
