As a Production Leading Hand/Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day production activities, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently while upholding our high standards for quality and safety.
This role requires a proactive leader with strong experience in the [beverage bottling/food manufacturing] industry who can motivate teams, enforce compliance, and contribute to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Production Activities: Oversee daily production operations to ensure that quality and efficiency targets are met.
Lead and Motivate Teams: Inspire and guide a team of production staff, setting clear expectations to achieve production targets and deadlines.Ensure Safety and Compliance: Enforce adherence to safety, hygiene, and compliance protocols, including HACCP and GMP, fostering a safe work environment.Collaborate on Process Improvement: Work closely with the production management team to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.Equipment Monitoring and Maintenance: Oversee the operation of production equipment, addressing any issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain output quality.Schedule and Shift Management: help to plan and manage shift rosters, ensuring adequate staffing across various shifts (AM, PM, and night shifts).Training and Development: Train, mentor, and develop team members, encouraging a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.Key Requirements Industry Experience: Proven experience in a beverage bottling or food manufacturing environment is essential.Leadership Experience: Demonstrated track record as a Leading Hand or Supervisor in a production setting.Skill Set: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide teams effectively.Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work rotating shifts, including AM, PM, and night shifts.Safety and Quality Focus: Deep understanding of safety, hygiene, and quality standards within food manufacturing, including HACCP and GMP protocols.Benefits
