Coordinator Electrical Engineering Design
About your new role
This position is responsible for ensuring the high standard of electrical engineering and design for the City.
Identifying areas of opportunities and developing quality, fit for purpose electrical design solutions working collaboratively across multiple business units.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead engineering teams to deliver quality and timely projects.
Manage resources and workloads for efficient project delivery.
Provide technical and advisory support to clients and stakeholders.
Foster collaboration with teams, management, and external parties.
Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
Improve work practices to meet team and department goals.
Monitor contractor performance and resolve issues.
Assist in City-Wide Lighting program development and design.

Please Note.
The salary range is $150,507 - $186,867 per annum plus superannuation.
The salary range is commensurate with working a 10-day fortnight and may include a negotiable critical skills payment that is determined based on your qualifications, skills and experience and is subject to annual reviews.
About you
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams, delivering high-quality projects while effectively engaging with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and strategic thinking to drive successful project outcomes and optimise resource management.
To excel in this role, you will be a motivated professional with advanced interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus.
You will leverage your analytical, problem-solving, and investigative abilities to provide insightful advice, options, and recommendations that influence project decisions.
Extensive experience in the design and construction of electrical infrastructure is essential, along with a willingness to contribute to the development of new standards for use across the city.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior engineer to play a key role in delivering significant engineering projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:
Bachelor Degree of Engineering (extensive experience in electrical design – minimum of 5 years).
Registered Professional Engineer QLD (RPEQ) – Electrical or the ability to obtain within 3 months of employment.
Proven leadership experience, with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving successful outcomes – minimum of 5 years.
Extensive electrical design experience.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
Strategic thinking and the ability to articulate a clear vision through planning and execution.
Unrestricted C Class Driver Licence.
WHS Licence General Construction White Card – desirable.
