About Our Client:This company is a Melbourne-based construction company.
They have been in operation for over 15 years and have specialised in townhouse developments since their inception.They partner with some of the country's leading developers, bringing communities to life.
Position Overview:As a Medium Density Estimator, you will be integral to the successful delivery of residential projects.
Your expertise in accurate cost estimation will help ensure projects remain on budget and meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities: Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for medium density housing and commercial projects by analysing project drawings and specifications.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather and verify information required for precise estimating.Market Research: Conduct market analysis to assess material costs, labour rates, and market conditions to inform estimates and ensure competitiveness.Project Monitoring: Assist in tracking project costs throughout the construction phase, identifying potential cost overruns and recommending solutions to keep projects on budget.Tender and Bid Preparation: Prepare bids for medium-density projects, ensuring the pricing is competitive but profitable.Review Subcontractor Quotes: Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they align with the project scope and budget.Qualifications: Proven experience as an estimator in residential construction, particularly in medium density projects.Strong understanding of construction processes, regulations, and market trends.Proficiency in estimating software (Databuild) and the MS Office Suite.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.What They Offer: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A collaborative and supportive work environment.Involvement in exciting and impactful projects that shape communities.How to Apply:If you are a detail-oriented estimator eager to contribute to large medium density and commercial projects, our client wants to hear from youPlease submit your resume to or give me a call on .
