With work spanning over water and marine policy, carbon initiatives, livelihoods, and youth leadership, all guided by our philosophy of Looking after our country… our way.Through innovation, collaboration, and cultural values, we aim to create a future where Indigenous knowledge and leadership are central to environmental, economic, and resource management policies.NAILSMA strongly encourages Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to express interest in joining the team.The OpportunityAs the Communications Manager at NAILSMA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative communication strategies that amplify Indigenous voices and showcase NAILSMA's leadership in land and sea management.Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead a talented team to craft compelling narratives, manage media engagement, and build partnerships with key stakeholders, including government, Traditional Owners, and Indigenous organisations.
You will oversee high-impact campaigns, promote NAILSMA's initiatives, and ensure First Nations perspectives are integrated across all communications.This is a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change, influence national policy conversations, and contribute to the sustainable future of northern Australia.About YouYou are a passionate and experienced communications professional with a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and perspectives.
