About the Role As the Quality and Risk Manager, you will lead AQA's efforts to achieve and maintain accreditation, meet regulatory standards, and manage risks across all functions.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, People, Culture & Capability, you will develop and maintain robust quality, compliance, and risk frameworks that align with the NDIS and other regulatory requirements.
Your work will ensure that AQA continues to empower individuals to live well while delivering services of the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities Include: Organisational Quality, Compliance, and Risk Support: Collaborate across departments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory obligations.Promote effective risk management and governance practices, ensuring alignment with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to protect clients, staff, and the organisation.Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance: Lead accreditation processes, adhering to standards such as the ACHS Accreditation System and National Standards for Disability Services.Monitor sector regulations and inform relevant teams of changes impacting service delivery.Conduct regular internal audits, documenting findings and providing actionable recommendations.Quality Improvement: Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Framework, supporting strategic objectives and continuous evaluation of services.Lead the creation of an annual Quality Plan, integrating clinical and corporate governance systems to exceed quality standards.Identify and mitigate risks to protect clients, staff, and operations.Implement an internal audit programme to evaluate and strengthen risk controls.Promote a culture of proactive risk identification and escalation.Reporting and Data Management: Oversee mandatory reporting, including reportable incidents, and ensure data is leveraged for quality and risk management decisions.Foster a data-driven approach to continuous improvement, enhancing client-centred care and compliance outcomes.Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a preference for qualifications in healthcare management, quality assurance, or a related discipline.Graduate qualifications in Regulation and Compliance or a related discipline are desirable.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Proven experience in quality and risk management within the disability services sector, particularly under NDIS and TAC frameworks.Expertise in NDIS Quality and Safeguards Standards and regulatory requirements.Demonstrated success in leading quality improvement initiatives and compliance programmes.Strong analytical, reporting, and digital skills to support efficient decision-making.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders and drive collaboration.Licences and Accreditations: NDIS Worker Screening Check.Valid Working with Children Check.Current driver's licence and vehicle insurance.Evidence of at least one COVID-19 vaccination.Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety and You."Application Deadline: Friday, 20th December 2024
