Position Classification: Staff Specialist Where you'll be working This is an exciting opportunity to join Tweed Valley Hospital, your primary work location and a new, major referral hospital at the heart of the network of hospitals and health facilities across the Tweed-Byron region.
The new state-of-the-art facility includes: More operating theatres and recovery spacesExpanded emergency departmentEnhanced medical, surgical, and mental health servicesEnhanced ambulatory care services including more outpatient clinicsNew interventional cardiology serviceNew radiotherapy service as part of a new integrated cancer care service.What you'll be doing Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist General Paediatric services for optimal patient outcomes at the Network Hospitals including Inpatient Services, Outpatient Clinics, Hospital in the Home and Consultancy where applicable.
Deliver clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.
Minimum Requirements: Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Paediatrician, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Paediatrics and Neonatal Medicine.Demonstrated recent clinical experience with Child and Adolescent medicine as well as children with complex care requirements.Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership.Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.Valid unrestricted driver's licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.Applications Close: 13 December 2024 To apply for this position, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or be able to independently, legally live and work in Australia.
