Your role The Thales CMATS Technical Instructor contributes to the design, development and delivery of CMATS technical training activities (including budgetary control, resourcing, and coordination), along with ad-hoc training requests.
The position will focus on the technical training of our users across network, hardware and software related tasks within our CMATS environment. The role will be suitable for a technical/field support specialist who has developed and delivered on training materials within this domain.
The position is an initial 2 year fixed term contract. This position is based in our office in Melbourne CBD.
Some responsibilities include: Conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to determine training and assessment solutionsDesigning training management and curriculum informationDeveloping training materials, facilitating training development and preparation activitiesAuthoring and supporting internal reviews of relevant training material and customer documentationUndertaking delivery of technical trainingEnsuring suitable procedures and practices are engaged during technical training deliveryProviding professional advice on technical documentation and training matters to the Thales CMATS Senior Technical InstructorOn day one you will come with Prior experience in delivering technical trainingPrior experience in performing technical troubleshooting and resolving operational or simulator system hardware or software issues in a time-critical environmentWorking as part of a team in complex, technology-based projectsPrior experience in working with commercial IT infrastructureIntermediate level skills in MS Office Suite of Tools, especially Excel and PowerPointExposure to working to aggressive and fixed schedulesAustralian Citizenship / Ability to obtain & maintain a clearanceQualifications: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent formal training/education qualificationQualification in engineering (hardware, software, IT, cybersecurity, networking), recognised Tech Cert or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate by the Thales CMATS Training ManagerHighly Desirable: Prior experience working with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Identity Management (IdM) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
