Job Description Civil Supervisor - Water/Utilities Working for a Leading Civil Company Location: Newcastle, Sydney Full-time, On-site Starting Date: Immediate We are working with a well-established and leading civil company that specializes in delivering high-quality water and utilities projects.
With a proven track record of excellence and commitment to delivering exceptional results, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Supervisor to join the dynamic team.
As a Civil Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating water and utilities projects at various sites within the Newcastle and Sydney regions.
Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, managing project timelines, and leading a team of skilled workers to achieve project goals efficiently.
Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor, particularly in water and utilities projects.
Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction processes, and utilities systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
Proficient in reading and interpreting project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and solve problems on-site.
A commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols rigorously.
Flexibility to work on-site each day and travel between different project locations.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate all on-site activities related to water and utilities projects.
Ensure project progress according to established timelines and budget constraints.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project objectives.
Monitor construction quality, ensure compliance with specifications, and resolve any issues that arise.
Conduct regular site inspections and enforce safety standards to maintain a safe work environment.
Manage and motivate a team of workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
Prepare reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions for management review.
Act as a liaison between on-site personnel and project management, ensuring effective communication.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices for enhanced efficiency.
