We are looking for an Analytical Chemist to join our Analytical laboratory team at AstraZeneca, ensuring timely and compliant testing of all analytical samples generated and receipted by the facility.

BenefitsYOU Days - offer an extra day off every monthOn-site car parkOn-site staff canteenWhat you'll doAs the Analytical Chemist, you will report into the Laboratory Manager and will be operating a wide range of instrumentation and equipment, testing printed materials, raw materials, and finished products.
Your responsibilities will include:
Perform finished product and raw material testing and results review according to laboratory schedulesPerform troubleshooting and problem solving, in conjunction with senior laboratory staffProvide support for the Analytical Laboratory during internal and external auditsEnsure deviations and OOS are reported for all analytical testsAssist in laboratory investigations when requiredComplete CAPA, deviations, and change controls as required and according to defined timelinesAct in accordance with correct GMP behavioursBuild competency through knowledge sharing and lifelong learningManage own time appropriately to ensure that activities are completed within agreed timelineEnsure compliance of self and others with all systems, processes, and procedures in line with statutory/ legislative/ quality requirementsEssential for the roleBachelor of Science or equivalent in a related scientific disciplineHigh level of knowledge and experience with the principles of compliance management and current Good Laboratory and Manufacturing PracticeExperience in analytical Quality Control testingCompetency in analytical techniques and analysisEffective written and verbal communication skillsComputer literacy including a Laboratory Information SystemDesirable for the roleSound problem-solving skillsSound project management, prioritization, and multitasking skillsAbility to build and maintain relationships between key stakeholdersAuditing experience in either manufacturing or laboratory settingsSubject matter expert in at least one relevant field in the Analytical LaboratoryWhy AstraZenecaAt AstraZeneca, we're dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.
