The Policy Development team is seeking a Principal Policy Officer to join our small team that leads policy analysis for the Department and: - Identifies, analyses and provides leadership on strategic issues and formulates innovative and workable policy options and solutions.- Assesses strategic issues and policy initiatives including those occurring locally, nationally and internationally and provides high level strategic advice to the Minister, the Director-General and the Senior Executive of the department.- Provides executive support to senior officers, including preparation of major policy papers, briefings, reports and submissions including Cabinet submissions.About The Department Of EducationThe Department of Education is dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community and schools we support by treating everyone with respect and dignity.
