We are seeking a proactive and organised Events Officer to deliver high-quality events and programs that showcase MAGNT's diverse collections and exhibitions.

Our principal facility since 1981 is on Larrakia Land at Bullocky Point in Darwin, home to internationally renowned cultural and scientific collections and research and exhibition programs.
MAGNT also operates the historic Fannie Bay Gaol in Darwin, the Museum of Central Australia incorporating the Strehlow Research Centre in Alice Springs, Megafauna Central and the Alcoota Fossil Bed site north east of Alice Springs.
MAGNT also manages the historic Lyons Cottage on Darwin's Esplanade and the Defence of Darwin Experience at East Point in Darwin.

*YesNoSelection Criteria 1: Demonstrated 2 years' experience in a customer service environment preferably in functions coordination, event planning and/or operations.
*Selection Criteria 2: Demonstrated skills in the use of systems related to ticketing, booking or point of sale systems.
*Selection Criteria 3: Ability to work with minimum supervision and in a team environment.
*Selection Criteria 4: An appreciation for cultural diversity and an ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
*Selection Criteria 5: Sound understanding of Work Health Safety (WHS) practices to ensure WHS compliance for events and public programs.
*Selection Criteria 6: Strong verbal and written communication skills, an outgoing friendly manner and a positive 'can do' attitude.

*Selection Criteria 8: A high standard of personal presentation.
